Ma Harpe & Moi Privacy Policy

By default, your data stays on your device. The “Ma Harpe & Moi” app does not create any account and uses no server of its own. If you wish, you can turn on synchronization through your personal iCloud to find your data on your other Apple devices.

No Data Collection

“Ma Harpe & Moi” does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
The app contains no advertising, trackers, or third-party analytics tools.
It does not require you to create an account.
No data is accessible to Anaïs La Harpiste, who created the app, nor to any third party.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Everything you create in the app is stored on your device, within the app’s private storage, encrypted at rest by iOS:
- your melody recordings (audio files);
- your resonance notes;
- your journal (clients, organizations, sessions, observations);
- your string inventory and settings (language, harp type, tuning pitch).

This data leaves your device only if you decide so: by sharing it yourself, or by turning on the iCloud synchronization described below.

iCloud Synchronization (optional) - iOS only

Synchronization is off by default. As long as you do not turn it on (in Settings › Sync via iCloud), nothing leaves your device.

If you turn it on, your data — journal, resonance notes, melody recordings, string inventory, and settings — is copied to your private iCloud space, your own Apple account, solely so it appears on your other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad). It travels encrypted, stays tied to your account, and is not shared with anyone else nor made public.

For the strongest protection, you can enable Advanced Data Protection in your device's iCloud settings (end-to-end encryption). You can turn synchronization off at any time.

The Microphone

The app uses the microphone to analyze your voice, tune your harp, and record your melodies. Sound is processed in real time on the device; it is neither sent nor stored, except when you deliberately press “Record” to save a melody. You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings › Ma Harpe & Moi.

Sharing and Export

A melody is shared or your journal is exported (CSV) only when you initiate the action yourself, to the app or recipient of your choice, using iOS sharing features. “Ma Harpe & Moi” has no access to what you share or to whom you share it.

Data Concerning Third Parties

If you record information about other people (clients, organizations) in the Journal, you are responsible for processing that data. We encourage you to record only what is necessary, with their consent, and to inform them of their rights. A simple tip: prefer initials or a first name rather than a full name. You can view, modify, export, and delete this information at any time from the Journal; if iCloud synchronization is enabled, it is also kept in your private iCloud space (see above).
The same responsibility applies as if you wrote this information down in a simple notebook.

Children

The app is not specifically intended for children and does not knowingly collect any data relating to children.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated. Any significant changes will be indicated on this page, together with a new update date.
